Mrs. Ed McDaniel, 64, Passes Unexpectedly

Mrs. Ed McDaniel, a resident of Creighton for about eight years, died Wednesday, Feb. 9, as the result of a stroke. She was 64 years old.

Funeral services were conducted Friday at Hengstler's Chapel with the Rev. Theo Krumrey of the Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were all grandsons, Frederick Milne, James Milne, Donald McDaniel, Roger McDaniel, Ronald Raff and Lyle Raff.

Adeline Harvey was born at Orchard on Sept 16, 1901, the youngest of 10 children of Adeline and Robert Harvey. She was baptized at an early age in the Presbyterian Church.

Her father died when she was three years old. When she was seven she moved to Dixon with her family. She attended school and grew up there.

She married J. Edward McDaniel on May 25, 1918 at O'Neill. Five children were born to them.

The McDaniels farmed in the Page area until 1958 when they retired and moved into Creighton.

Surviving are her children, Arthur of Macedonia, Ia., Mrs. David (Evelyn) Milne of Creighton, Mrs. Jim (Lucille) Haskin of Wausa, Mrs. Malven (Leona) Raff of Pierce and Marilyn at home; 15 grandchildren and three great grandchildren; four brothers, Aden Riggs of Richmond, Calif., Albert Harvey of Aurora, Robert Harvey of Page and Asa Harvey of Madera, Calif. and two sisters, Mrs. Alma Bridge of Orchard and Mrs. Aurora Cannon of Creighton.

She was proceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Andrew and Alpha Riggs and a sister, Mrs. Clarence (Alice) Campbell.
