A native of St Louis, Mo., she had lived in Maryville for the last 25 years. Mrs. Zapf was a former school teacher and a member of the Maryville First Presbyterian Church, the women's organization of the Presbyterian Church, the Maryville Penelope Club and the Maryville 20th Century Club.
Survivors include her husband, Charles E. Zapf of the home; one daughter, Nola Stickler of St Joseph; one son, Phillip R. Zapf of Maryville; four grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Maryville First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the Nodaway Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Maryville." St Joseph Gazette, December 22, 1980
