Bjossa was captured off the coast of Iceland. She spent time in several aquatic parks before finally ending up at Sea World California. During her time in captivity Bjossa had 3 calves, unforunatly all of them died in child birth. At her capture Bjossa was 3-4 years old. At the time of her death she was 20-21, spending 19.5 years of her life in captivity. Bjossa was a very sweet and loving whale, and she is missed greatly by all who knew her.
