Iva and John were the parents of sons Harrison (1928-1971), Charles (1938-2006) and William Eugene.
Iva was the sister of Clarence George, Olie May, Edward and Walter. She also had seven Barclay half-siblings: Sarah Sofronia, Oma May, Lillie Frances, William Jasper, Amos Franklin, Ethel Vina and Johney Bertine "Bertie".
Her obituary was published in the Sioux City Journal (Sioux City, Iowa):
Mrs. John Blue, 68, 300 W. 33rd St., South Sioux City, died Monday at her residence. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Jack Becker Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert S. Enck, pastor of St. Paul United Methodist Church of South Sioux City, will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at Sioux City. Mrs. Blue, the former Iva Lorraine Barclay, was born March 21, 1912, at Dyer Ark. She was a longtime resident of South Sioux City. She married Mr. Blue in 1927 [sic] in Sioux City. He died Nov. 17, 1959, in Sioux City. She had been employed at various restaurants in South Sioux City, retiring in 1970 because of poor health. Survivors include on son, Charles, of Spokane, Wash.; and six grandchildren. ("Mrs. John Blue", obit. Thursday, 19 March 1981, page 23)
