The sympathy of the entire community is with the bereft parents in their sad misfortune. Scarlet fever broke out in the home a couple of weeks ago attacking two members of the family, a daughter, Marie and the baby. A few days later Robert was taken ill and his condition grew worse rapidly until in spite of all that could be done by medical skill he passed away, after a struggle of three days. Meanwhile Lloyd, a younger brother, was taken ill and for a time it was thought he had a fighting chance but on Sunday he had a change for the worse and in the afternoon, he, too passed away. The sickness is still prevalent in the home, Claude, the second oldest son, being seriously ill at the present writing. His condition was reported to be somewhat better on Wednesday and the hopes and prayer of everyone are that he may survive the attack.
The parents are prostrated with grief over the untimely death of their children. Their many friends hope that the ravages of the disease have been checked and that the other members of the family may live to bless and comfort them. Both of the deceased boys were splendid, manly little fellows and Robert had just started school this fall.
