Edward was the son of Gustav Nepper and Matilda Eschmann. On 17 Dec 1904 he married Wilhomena "Minnie" Oberfell and they had two daughters, Jeannette and Martha. Edward was employeed as a civil engineer for most of his life. He died of subacute bacterial endocarditis at the age of 64.
