Joseph Kaminski, Jr., 77 years old, of Penfield Township, died Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at EMH Healthcare in Elyria, following a short illness. Mr. Kaminski was born in Elyria March 19, 1935 and lived in Penfield Township since 1974. He was a heat treater at Timms Springs and a member of the Penfield Community Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Kaminski enjoyed spending time fishing.

He is survived by two sons, Lowell Barker (Mary) of Springfield, Ohio and Mark Barker (Jessica) of Wellington; two daughters, Karen Creed (William) of Andover, Ohio and Becki Claus of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Several aunts also survive.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Phyllis Kaminski in 1980; his second wife, Sarah B. Kaminski in 2003; and his parents, Joseph and Agnes (nee Chaplar) Kaminski.

Friends will be received at the Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland Street, Elyria, Sunday, July 8, 2012, from 5 until 8 P.M. Funeral services will be in the funeral home Monday, July 9, 2012, at 10 A.M., with his daughter, the Elect Lady Becki Claus, officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Wellington.

Memorial contributions, in Mr. Kaminski's name, may be made to the Animal Protective League, 8303 Murray Ridge Road, Elyria, OH 44035.
