Born in Mt. San Giuliano (Erice), Trapani, Sicily, Italy, died in Custonaci, Trapani prov., Sicily, Italy.
Son of Francesco Poma & wife Giuseppa Cesaró.
Father of seven, Giuseppa; Francesco 'Frank'; Vito; Giuseppe; Settimo; Salvatore; Giovanni 'John' Poma.
His brother, Giuseppe Poma married Anna Cipponeri (sister to his wife, Antonina Cipponeri). In other words, two brothers married two sisters.
He made one or more visits to America with wife (both made a visit, source: Ellis Island, Date of Arrival: 15 August 1912, Port of Departure, Palermo). I was told he was somewhat a lady's man. I have copy of a poem he wrote about his visits to America, and his sadness/sorrow of his children leaving home, Sicily.

"To be ignorant of what occurred before you were born is to remain perpetually a child.
For what is the worth of a human life unless it is woven into the life of our ancestors by the records of history?"
Marcus Tullius Cicero - 106-43 B.C.
