Minerva Pierce, daughter of Eliphalet Pierce & Annis McMichel. Minerva married Philemon Delacy Morris on 16 Apr 1845 in Menard County, Illinois. She was his second wife, his first was Nancy Jackson who died in 1844 in Illinois, they had 7 children 3 died young. Philemon and Minerva came to Oregon in 1850. They had 9 children, the last 6 were born in Oregon. After Philemon died, Minerva married Preston Hamilton.
