ARNOLD L. MAHNKE
(1905 - 1978)

Arnold L. Mahnke, 73, of 929 S. 30th St., Manitowoc, died Monday evening in Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc. Private family funeral services will be 1:30 pm Thursday in Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Gerald Schrankler will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Mr. Mahnke was born March 1, 1906(sic) in Manitowoc, son of the late August and Emma Roebe Mahnke. He was educated in Manitowoc area schools and married Elva Gerlach July 24, 1926 in Waukegan, Ill. Mr. Mahnke had been a security guard with Mirro Aluminum Company, retiring in 1977. Mrs. Mahnke preceded him in death in 1957.

Survivors include two sons, Lee and Richard of Manitowoc; four daughters, Mrs. Carroll (Shirley) Martin, Mrs. Elmer (Marilyn) Hardrath and Mrs. Betty Valentine of Manitowoc and Mrs. James (Sandra) Johnson of Kenosha; a sister, Mrs. Adela Grapentine of Manitowoc; 10 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A son, a daughter, a brother and two sisters preceded him in death.

Friends may call in Parkside Funeral Home 4 pm to 9 pm Wednesday. Memorials may be made to St. Boniface Nutrition Site.
