CONCORDIA - Archie A. Alexander, 77, Concordia, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 1991, at the St. Joseph Hospital, Concordia. Mr. Alexander was born March 30, 1913, at Aurora.

He was a farmer in Aurora until 1948, when he moved to Clyde and worked at the elevator. He later moved to Bogue and worked at an elevator there. He retired after managing an elevator in Ulysses and moved to Concordia in 1978. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia, Knights of Columbus, Fourth Degree of the Knights, Moose Lodge and Senior Citizen Center, Concordia.

His first wife, Gertrude, died in 1980.

Survivors include his wife, Rosella of the home; a son, Duane of Fredericksburg, Va.; a stepdaughter, Janice Charbonneau of McPherson; a stepson, Manuel Ribordy of Solomon; two brothers, Kenneth and Isadore, both of Concordia; three sisters, Evelyn Fisher of Woodward, Okla., Zada Hyatt of Argyle, N.Y., and Rosalie Fudge of East Acada, Ore.; two grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia, the Revs. John Lahey, Roger Meitl and Chris Conklin officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Aurora. A vigil will be at 7:30 p.m. today followed by a Knights of Columbus rosary at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Chapel, Concordia.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Visitation will be at the funeral home.
