Marie Arlene (Smith) Vraa, 91, of Dilworth, Minnesota, died on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at the Eventide Nursing Home in Moorhead, Minnesota.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Bagley, MN with Reverend Steve McCaughan officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, January 20, 2012 from 5-7:00 p.m. at Cease Family Funeral Home in Bagley, MN. Interment will be at Bagley City Cemetery in Bagley, MN. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted with the arrangements.
Marie was born May 28, 1920, the daughter of David and Minnie (Boldt) Craig growing up near Itasca Park.
On January 2, 1941, Marie was united in marriage to Gilbert Smith. They farmed south of Bagley until Gilbert's death in 1970. Marie moved to Bemidji in 1972.
On July 5, 1992 Marie and Tilman Vraa were married.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert, son: Steve Smith, her parents, sisters: Mathilda Johnson, Emma Vold, Goldie Stanley, Agnes Johnson, brothers: David Craig, Elmo Craig and Johnny Craig.
