A native of Port Barre and a resident of Denham Springs, she passed away on Friday, Dec. 1, 2006, at 7 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Baton Rouge. She was 68 and a retired registered nurse with Professional Medical Products as a nursing consultant. She was a member of the Parish Council of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, co-founder of the Perpetual Adoration Chapel, a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas and Ladies Guild and was involved in numerous other church activities. Visitation at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, was on Sunday, Dec. 3, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. Visiting at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Denham Springs, on Monday from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at noon, with the Rev. Vincent Dufresne, celebrant. Entombment in Evergreen Memorial Park Mausoleum. Survived by her husband, A.J. Chiniche; daughters and sons-in-law, Hollie and Dale Lilly and Gwen and Matt Cotton; son, Mitch Chiniche; sister, Janice Brouillette; grandchildren, Steven, Kristina and Dianna Lilly and Bryan, Sean and Jacob Cotton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Murray and Viola Mayer; and sister, Sherry Mayer. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge, 550 Lobdell Ave., Baton Rouge, LA 70806 or Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Educational Building Fund, 865 Hatchell Lane, Denham Springs, LA 70726..
