Funeral services for Mrs. Nora Canterbury Johnson, age 85, of Arcadia were held May 31, 1988 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Joyner and Rev. Harlan Smith officiating. Burial was in the Hurricane Cemetery, north of Arcadia. Mrs. Johnson died May 29, 1988 at the Arcadia Baptist Home in Arcadia. She was a homemaker and a member of Arcadia First Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Martell Raburn of Arcadia; two sons, Arvelle Johnson of Princeton LA and James Johnson of Simsboro LA; one sister, Mrs. Jewell Cox of Arcadia; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kylie Johnson.
Pallbearers were Joe LeMoine, Randy Johnson, Terry Johnson, Randy Hood, Bobby Raburn, and Greg Curtis.
