Born February 27, 1928 in Malta Idaho to Berton Ray and Lela Mae Sherman Ashworth. Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Married Emma Jean Dickinson, later divorced. Married Norma Edith Byington Ellett April 19, 1975 in Salt Lake City, UT. Retired from Kennecott Copper Corp. Member Salt Lake County Sheriff Possey. Owned and operated Mike's Barber Shop until 1995. Loved to fish with his children and grandchildren. Survived by wife Norma; children: Anna Stevenson (Dave Jensen), Susan Robinson (Don), Peggy Gonshor (Dave), Kathy Wahlen (Don), Michael Ashworth (Betty), Ken Ashworth (Jan); stepchildren: Greg Ellett (Cindy), Jeff Ellett (Kathy) and Julie Ellett (Julie Mitchell); 27 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services held Tuesday, August 31, 2004 at the Stansbury Park Stake Center, 5935 North Bayshore Road, Stansbury Park, UT. Directors: Peel Funeral Home. Interment: Lake Point City Cemetery.
