Edythe H. Ferrell, 78, of Triplett Road, Spencer, died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2003, in Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg. She was born in Calhoun County, the daughter of the late William and Lela June Wilson Ritchie. She was a former employee of Mid-Ohio Valley Health Care Center and was a member of Ritchie Family Gospel Quartet for many years. She had attended Five Forks Community Church. Surviving are one daughter, Sharon Whipkey of Spencer; two sons, Jim Oak Ferrell and Edward Carl Ferrell, both of Grantsville; one brother, Dale Ritchie of Big Springs; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl H. Ferrell; five brothers, Paul, Jim, Glen, Carl and Grover Ritchie; and two sisters, Glady Harris and Edith Whipkey. Services were held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, with Rev. Carroll McCauley officiating. Burial was in Bethlehem Cemetery, near Grantsville
