Mrs. Chris (Clara) Nelson, 81, of 1025A S. 23rd St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday evening at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Dale Tutje will officiate with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Nelson, nee Clara Eggert, was born July 20, 1894, at Manitowoc, daughter of the late August and Freida Spiegel Eggert. She was a Manitowoc resident all her life. She was married to Chris Nelson Sept. 30, 1916, at Manitowoc and had been employed at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, for 15 years. Mr. Nelson preceded her in death Oct. 7, 1958. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Manitowoc Chapter Order of Eastern Star No. 196, member and past president of Badger Temple Pythian Sisters No. 46 and a charter member of Ladies Auxiliary of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 706.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Minnie Hobus, of Milwaukee, nieces, nephews and cousins. Four brothers preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Ninth Street Chapel, from 6 to 9 o'clock this Friday evening and until the time of service Saturday. Eagles Auxiliary memorial services will be at 7 o'clock this Friday evening.
