Stella (Clark) Rust, 84, of Simsbury, wife of the late Charles Norman Rust, died Saturday, (October 8, 2011) at McLean Health Center in Simsbury.
She was born April 6, 1927 in Granby, daughter of the late Roy W. and Bernice (Watson) Clark. She lived in Simsbury and Barkhamsted for many years before moving back to Simsbury in 2003. Stella worked in the Simsbury Public Schools and at the Connecticut General Life Insurance Company prior to her retirement.
She was a member of the Simsbury United Methodist Church and the Simsbury Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Stella was an avid quilter and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Wendy and Robert Gutowski of Florence, MA and Marcia and William LeBlanc of Haverhill, MA; two grandsons, Jeffrey and Kevin LeBlanc; her sister, Carolyn Beman of West Granby and her brother-in-law, Donald Fletcher of Tucson, AZ. She was predeceased by her sister, Miriam Fletcher.
Funeral service will be celebrated Thursday, October 13th, 11:30 a.m. at the Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury. Calling hours will be prior to the service from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Burial will be in Simsbury Cemetery.
