Jessie was one of the many dogs saved every year from heartless puppy mills. Puppy mills is where the animals live in miserable conditions and are only used for breeding. The puppies are then sold to puppy/pet stores or to companies who sell to pet stores.
Jessie was a very scraggly Beagle when her future owner saw her. She had had so many litters, her stomach dragged on the ground.
Jessie's life with her new owner was a happy one. Sadly, it was only for 4 years. She developed liver failure and had to be euthanized.
