Don graduated from MPHS, class of 1954. He served in the US Air Force from September 1954 to June of 1958. He started working at the local post office in 1966, retiring in 1992. To Don, retirement was a full time job.
In May of 1956, he married his first wife, Kay McClintic Duzenbury. She preceded him in death in 1996.
Don and Judy Green were married in 1997. Don felt that God blessed him with two beautiful ladies to share his life with. Don attended the First Baptist Church for years, loved golf, dabbled in wood carving, and being at his place on the river with friends.
Funeral services for Don were held at the First Baptist Church, Mt. Pleasant on Wednesday, July 25 with Rev. James Turner officiating.
Rowley Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the First Baptist Church or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
Don is survived by his wife, Judy; six children, Terri Lynn Duzenbury, Tami K. (Al) Sisco, Donald Brian Duzenbury, Burke C. (Cindy) Duzenbury, Jaclyn (Denis) Koenig, and John (Kim) Brantuk II; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Kay.
