LEONORE MARIE (LENZ) NEUSER
(1914 - 2005)

Lenore M. Neuser, age 91, formerly of 3315 Yorkshire Lane, Manitowoc, died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2005, at the Manitowoc Health Care Center.

She was born June 30, 1914, in the town of Liberty, daughter of the late Carl and Alvina (Kattre) Lenz. Lenore was educated in the town of Liberty. On Oct. 30, 1937, she married Markus Neuser in Clarks Mills. He preceded her in death April 24, 1965. Lenore was employed at JCPenney's as a clerk and floor supervisor. She was a charter member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church and a member of the Ladies Aid. Lenore was an active member of Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law,: Mavourneen "Mav" and Don Backus, Somers, Conn.; Marjorie and Richard "Chick" Czekala, Manitowoc; five grandchildren: Kim (David) Harmon, Bolton, Conn.; Shelly (Matthew) Brownell, Southborough, Mass.; Amy (Bryan) Kalish, Somers, Conn.; Colin and Clark Smith, both of Okeechobee, Fla.; six great- grandchildren: Sara and Aaron Harmon, Bradley and Curtis Brownell, Kelsey and Nathan Kalish; a son-in-law: Mark Smith, M.D., Okeechobee, Fla., and a sister-in-law: Marion Lenz, Manitowoc. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Kaye Smith, two sisters: Helma Lenz and Regina Kieselhorst, and three brothers: Carl, Norman and Edward Lenz.

The family will greet relatives and friends at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc, from 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005, until the time of service at 11 a.m. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005, at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be the Revs. Robert Kujawski and Stephen Melso with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.

The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
