Paul E. Krainik, 66, of 1327 S. 22nd St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday evening, Dec. 15, at Holy Family Hospital. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Phipps Memorial Chapel at First Presbyterian Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. William Plank will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Krainik was born July 1, 1916, at Manitowoc, son of the late Anton and Marie Hackbarth Krainik. He attended schools in Manitowoc and was graduated from, Lincoln High School with the Class of 1933. He served in the Military Service with the United States Army. He entered the service in 1943 and was discharged in 1944. His first wife, the former
Ruth Klusmeyer, preceded him in death. He married Evelyn Ziarnik June 17, 1967, at Manitowoc and the couple resided here. He had been a sealer of the City of Manitowoc, retiring in 1978. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and American Legion Drews-Bleser Post 88. He was a member, past president and past lieutenant governor of the First Kiwanis Club of Manitowoc.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn, a daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Jim Weyer and two granddaughters, Bridget and Brent Weyer of Lake Elmo, Minn.; a sister-in-law, Alva Krainik and brother-in-law, Roy Peronto
of Manitowoc and nieces and nephews. Other survivors include David and Margaret Ziarnik and Elena Ziarnik of Madison and Emmy and Roger Rebitz of Route 2, Manitowoc. A brother and two sisters preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 6 o'clock to 9 o'clock this Thursday evening and at the chapel from 10 a.m. Friday until the time of service.
Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church of the Salvation Army.
