Mrs. Myrtle Ash Sproull, 83, 727 Oakcrest Drive, Rockmart, die Sunday, Nov. 3 at her residence. She was born April 28, 1913 in Cedartown, was a retired lunchroom supervisor at Goodyear School and a member of the Rockmart First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Burge Sproull, Jr. and her parents Marion and Gussie Wiggins Ash. She is survived by two daughters, Ms. Susan S. Thompson of Decatur, Alabama and Mrs. Scottie S. Worthington of Buchanan; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5 from the Rockmart United Methodist Church with Rev. David Autry officiating. Interment followed in Rose Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Kirt Sproull, Skip Sproull, Robert Grimes, Rickey Woods, Jay Chambers and Scott Thompson. Members of the Gleaners Sunday School Class served as honorary pallbearers.
