TEUTOPOLIS - Selma M. Kremer, 95, of Teutopolis died at 8:40 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011, at Evergreen Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Effingham.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Teutopolis. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Teutopolis. Visitation will be from 4 to 7:30 p.m. today at the church with a 4:30 p.m. Council of Catholic Women rosary and a 6:30 p.m. parish wake service. Memorials may be made to Catholic Charities. Bauer Funeral Home, Teutopolis, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Selma was born April 20, 1915, in Effingham County, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Rieman) Buenker. She married Edward J. Kremer on Oct. 29, 1940, and he preceded her in death in 1998.
Ms. Kremer was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Teutopolis, and St. Francis Council of Catholic Women.
Selma is survived by her son, John (Mary Ellen) of Teutopolis; three daughters, Josie (Norbert) Lustig of Dieterich, Carol (Jon) Woods of O’Fallon and Lois (Dick) Kreke of Teutopolis; 18 grandchildren; and 45 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; five brothers, Albert, Arthur, Leo, Robert and Adolph; and one sister, Frances Brummer Buening.
