Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 26, 2001, at Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Louis Sievert with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.
She was born March 29, 1925, in Morgan ,Utah, daughter of the late Clifford and Laura Rock Spendlove. On Oct. 13, 1945, she married Otto Altergott in Morgan, Utah. Joyce was a homemaker and a member of Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran church, Two Rivers.
Survivors include her husband, Otto Altergott, two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Deborah Altergott, Richard and Barbara Altergott, all of Two Rivers; three brothers, Mark and Lu Spendlove, Morgan ,Utah, Fail and Elouise Spendlove, Morgan, Utah, Neil and Kathy Spendlove, Circleville, Utah; and one sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Carl Johnson, Morgan, Utah; eight grandchildren, Tracy Maslona and her husband, Mike, Bradley, Brian, Caressa, Nathan, Jacob, Dean and Jason and a great-granddaughter, Olivia. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and a special friend, Gladys Seibel, also survive. Joyce was preceded in death by a son, Clifford, a great-granddaughter, Anna and two sister and brothers-in-law, Raedell and Van Layman, and Marne and John Pawlowski.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers, from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday morning at Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church, Two Rivers.
She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Joyce loved children and her favorite phrase was "My day is complete, I heard a child laugh."
