Bernice M. Andrastek, age 79, of 1304 S. 24th St., Manitowoc, died Friday evening, April 23, 1999, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 27, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Roman Zbieranski O.F.M., with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.
She was born March 30, 1920, in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Orville and Anna Schaefer Henrickson. On June 21, 1941 she married Daniel D. Andrastek at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on Feb. 2, 1994.
Bernice was employed with the Foley Company for 22 years, retiring in 1982. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1991. Bernice was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary Post 659.
Survivors include one son James Andrastek and his special friend Mary Pat Revoir, Appleton; one daughter and son-in-law Patricia and August Krieser, Manitowoc; four grandchildren Michael and (Vickie) Krieser, Shawn Krieser and his special friend Jodi, James J. and (Jamie) Andrastek, and Jacob Andrastek: three great-grandchildren, Jessie, Tristian and Timothy; a sister Betty Sell of Manitowoc; and a sister-in-law, Henrietta Henrickson of Two Rivers. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Bernice was preceded in death by one sister, Edith Schloff; and two brothers, Raymond and William Henrickson.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. TONIGHT at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m., led by Father Roman.
