Siblings of Edmund Konrad/Conrad (the original name is likely Konrath, but Edmund used Konrad for a time and then changed to Conrad):
Jacob, Rudolf, Emma, Lena and Clara.
All of the males emigrated to the United States, as far as it is known the females all remained in Germany. Jacob made his final home in Philadelphia, Rudolf in New York.
Edmund followed Jacob as he relocated from Connecticut to Philadelphia, PA (based on WWII draft information). At some point Edmund ended up in Fort Clark in Kinney County, Texas as part of the 13th Calvary, Troop F. *
*Family information is that Edmund and Anna met in Texas while Anna was staying with sister Margaret Fisher and her husband Eddie (Henry Carl). To date, no paper trail finds Anna or her sister living in Texas.
Edmund Married Anna Mae Sullivan of Louisville, Kentucky. They had one child, a daughter, Clara Lillian Conrad. Edmund died of pneumonia in 1930 when his daughter was just 5 years old.
City Directories, Death Certificate and WWII draft card list Edmunds occupation as electrician or electrical engineer. His workplaces include Louisville Jewish Hospital ( where he worked when he died), Herman Strauss & Sons Department Store (Louisville, KY) and Sachsenmeir Company in Philadelphia PA.
Place of Birth is country of Germany, now in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate (was Bavaria/Bayern when Edmund was born), county/district - Kusel.. Essweiler is located in the Kusel district. Essweiler is not currently available in the drop down options.
