The record of her 12/17/1888 Manitowoc marriage to Carl Bermann lists her maiden name as "Auguste J. L. Schwarz". That marriage record lists her parents as August & Johanna Schwarz. I'm unable to find the graves of her parents. Census records show Augusta was born in Germany. The 1930 census says that Augusta & Carl Bermann were both born in "Pomerania" - the Pomeranian region of Germany.
