GAUTHIER DIES SUNDAY, BURIAL ON WEDNESDAY
Mrs. Wilhelmina Drager(sic) And Carl Bermann Die Here Over Weekend
One well known native of this city and two residents of the city for nearly
a decade were summoned by death here over the weekend.

After a lingering illness, Carl Bermann, 69, a retired farmer, died at his home
at 1707 21st street, late Saturday night. He was a resident of this city for six
years.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock from the Jansky
funeral home and at two o’clock from St. John’s Lutheran church, with the Rev.
W.G. Haase officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen cemetery at Manitowoc.
Mr. Bermann was born in Germany May 29, 1863, and was a resident of the county
45 years. He lived at Manitowoc for 20 years and later operated a farm at Norman,
Kewaunee county, for 19 years.
Besides his widow, Mr. Bermann leaves four daughters, Mrs. Hannah DeByle, Grand
Rapids, Mich.; Mrs. Tillie Peterson, Denmark, Mrs. Ella Thomas, Milwaukee, and
Mrs. Verna Hoppe at home; and three sons, Otto, New London; George, Denmark; and
Charles of Gibson. He also leaves a brother, Julius, of Bolt, Kewaunee county,
and two sisters, Mrs. William Ziebell and Mrs. Herman Keubke (sic), of Manitowoc.
There are 13 grandchildren.
