Jack Morgan Newbrough, age 83, of Alamosa, Colorado, formerly of Grafton, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at Juniper Village Long Term Care Facility, Monta Vista, Colorado.

He was born in Grafton, December 5, 1928, a son of the late Silas Newbrough and Gay (Childers) Newbrough.

Jack was a 1948 graduate of Grafton High School.

He was a US Army Veteran having served in the Korean War.

He was a retired manager, having worked for Safeway in the Washington DC/ Maryland area with 42 years service. He was a Baptist by faith.

Surviving are: two sisters, Mary Jane Korth, of Grafton, and Betty Gail Newbrough, of Westminster, CO; one brother, William E. "Bill" Newbrough, of Las Vegas, NV; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: four brothers, Dorsey, Martin, Richard, and James Newbrough; and two sisters, twins, Hallie Newbrough Comer, and Helen Newbrough Kleinhans.

Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, Grafton, on Tuesday, July 24, 2012, from 11:00 a.m. to 12 noon.

Funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home, at 12 noon on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 with Pastor Orville Wright, officiating.

Interment will follow at Bluemont Cemetery.
