Evelyn O. Oestreich, 93, of Park Lawn Nursing Home, formerly of 1011 N. 15th St., Manitowoc, died Monday, March 17, at the home.


Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Keith Haag will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.


Mrs. Oestreich, nee Evelyn Fehring, was born Sept. 13, 1887, at Manitowoc, daughter of the late William

and Louisa Schuette Fehring. She was educated in the Manitowoc School System and taught school here four years before her marriage to Richard Oestreich Nov. 16, 1906, at Manitowoc. He preceded her in death in 1955. Mrs. Oestreich was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church.


Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul A. and Christine Oestreich of Milwaukee and Berlyn and Marion Oestreich of Madison, two grandchildren, two great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.


Friends may call at Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and at the church from 10 a.m. Thursday until the time of service.

Richard Oestreich and Evelyn Fehring are Wed Thursday


Marriage vows were exchanged by Miss Evelyn Fehring, a popular west side girl and Richard Oestreich, a well known young man of Manitowoc town, Tuesday, the wedding being a quiet one with only the family present. Rev. Machmiller officiated. Miss Fehring is a graduate of the West Side school and was engaged as a teacher for some time. Mr. Oestreich is one of the county's prosperous farmers and a young man who has bright promises to success. The couple will reside north of the city.
