Laura B. "Sis" Santmyer, 78, of Scottdale, Pa., passed away suddenly, Tuesday afternoon, February 7, 2001 at her residence. She was once employed at Anchor Hocking Glass in South Connellsville and had worked as a cook for the former Chris? Restaurant in Scottdale.
Sis is survived by her four daughters: Joyce M. Carnes and husband Albert of Mount Pleasant, Linda F. Bennett and husband Mark of Littleton, Colo., Karen S. Knopsnider and husband Domer of Ruffsdale R.D.2, and Melody L. Overly of Scottdale; her son, Ronald L. Santmyer of Scottdale; 24 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; three sisters: June Grabiak of Scottdale, Marie Cramer of Scottdale, and Betty Lou McIntire of Riverside, Calif; a brother, Rev. Francis Culler of Point Marion; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Robert B. Ferguson Funeral Home, 105 Spring Street, Scottdale today from 7 to 9 p.m.; Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.; and on Saturday at 11 a.m., the hour of service.
