Varma Pack Clinger passed away in Bountiful, Utah on July 26, 2012, several weeks after her 90th birthday. She was born June 12, 1922 to DeVar M. and Irma C. Pack. She married Frank Barlow Clinger on September 1, 1942 in the Salt Lake Temple. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Frank, and her sister LaDean. Varma and Frank were married for 59 years and raised 4 children, all surviving her: Frank Jr. (Gail), Regene (Courtney), Scott (Thea), and Kimberly, 9 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings, DeVar, Isabel, Irma Jean, Carol, Rodney, and George.

Varma served in the LDS Church in many capacities. Nothing meant more to her than family, and she rarely missed a family reunion. Varma took vigilant care of her husband through his 30 year fight against cancer. Varma was a meticulous housekeeper, very talented at knitting and crocheting. In her early years she sang with a group called the Musets,



Funeral services will be held Saturday 4 August 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS meetinghouse located at 1190 East Bountiful Hills Drive, Bountiful, UT 84010. A viewing will be held at the meetinghouse from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral. Interment will be held at Larkin Sunset Gardens at 10600 South 1700 East in Sandy, UT 84092 following the funeral.
