Mrs. Ruth E. Osulson, 88, of 707 Chicago Street, Manitowoc, died Friday, April 14, 1989 at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 10:30 am Tuesday at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran church, Manitowoc. Rev. John H. Rasmussen will officiate with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.


Mrs. Osulson was born February 15, 1901 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Olaf and Amanda Griese Tollefson. She married Sylvester Osulson and he preceded her in death in 1962. Mrs. Osulson was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church.


Survivors include a son, Raymond (Bernice) Vassilew; two daughters, Shirley Bruechert, Delores (Donald) Shawhan, all of Manitowoc; three brothers, Earl (Tina) Tollefson of Florida, Roland Tollefson of Manitowoc, Delore (Dorothy) Tollefson of Manitowoc; a sister, Florence (Alfred) Tollefson of Manitowoc; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Tollefson and three brothers, Lloyd, Allen and Orin Tollefson.


Friends may call at Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, 5pm to 9pm this Monday and Tuesday at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church from 9:30 am until the time of service. A devotional service for family and friends will be held by Pastor Rasmussen this evening at 8:50 pm.

Miss Ruth G. Vassilow of Manitowoc, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Olaf Tollefson became the bride of Gustave Viel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Viel in a quiet wedding at the groom's home on Fourteenth Street Wednesday afternoon. The ceremony was performed by Rev. A. J. Siewert. H. J. Zuehl and Miss Esther Viel were the witnessing couple. Only relatives were present. The groom is employed as a carpenter at Manitowoc where the couple will reside.
