Mrs. Karl Kuentz, 84, of 1702 South Tenth street, died this morning. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Evangelical Lutheran church, the Rev. L.H. Koeninger officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. Kuentz, nee Rose Olp, was born in Cooperstown in 1860 and in 1886 was married to Paul Paape. Forty years ago they came to this city. Mr. Paape died in 1914. In 1929 she was married to Mr. Kuentz. He died in 1930. She was a member of the Ladies Aid society of the German Lutheran congregation.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Elmer Halverson, Rose Pappe and Mrs. Walter H. Schmidt, all of this city; three brothers, Robert and George Olp of this city, Anton Olp of Reedsville; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the Wattawa, Urbanek and Schlei funeral home from noon Wednesday until 10 a.m. Friday when it will be moved to the church to lie in state until the hour of the services. The casket will be closed at the opening of the service.
