Albert was employed by the Cortland City School district as a custodian at Randall Elementary School for many years, prior to that he was employed by Wickwire Bros. He was a member of the D.A.V and the San Rocco Lodge and was an avid hunter and gardener.
He is survived by his wife of 71 ½ years, Rose DiStefano Rosato, a son, Carl (Dorothy) Rosato of Preble and a daughter, Margaret (Douglas) Runof of Robbinsville, N.J., a grandson, Anthony (Laurie) Rosato, a granddaughter, Melissa (Larry) Cypress and a great granddaughter, Kaitlyn Brakel and many nieces and nephews. Albert was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Thomas, Dominick, Joseph, James, Mary and Irene.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Lucian Urbaniak serving as celebrant. Prayers of committal will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. The family will be present to receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. in the Chapel of Riccardi Funeral Home 69 N. Main St., Cortland, N.Y. Contributions in his memory may be made to the D.A.V. 91 Owego St., Cortland, N.Y. 13045.
