Mrs. Geo. Kane, one of the pioneer residents of this county, who has been suffering from the effects of a stroke of paralysis passed to the great beyond Wednesday night.
Mrs. Kane's father, Bernard McShane, homesteaded the farm east of the railroad track now owned by Andrew Stortz in 1879.
Mrs. Kane was of a retiring disposition and her whole life was devoted to her family and other kindnesses.
The husband, two sons and three daughters, one daughter, Sister Seneca, having entered the religious life, remain to mourn her loss.
The funeral will be held from St. Ludgers Catholic church Friday morning at 10 a.m.
