Hospital Tuesday afternoon. He had been in failing health for more than two
years.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 a.m. Saturday at the Klein & Stangel Inc.,
Funeral Home, Two Rivers, and at 9 a.m. with a solemn requiem high mass at St.
Mark Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two
Rivers.
Mr. Pokorsky was born at Manitowoc on Aug. 19, 1882, a son of Jacob and Agnes
Schott Pokorsky. He married the former Agnes Weier at Sacred Heart Church, Two
Rivers, on June 15, 1908. When he was a young man he learned the butcher trade
in Milwaukee and for many years was employed at the Kadow Market at Manitowoc.
He established his own business in Two Rivers in 1922, retiring two years ago
because of ill health and turning over the operation to his son-in-law, Edward
Knope.
Besides his wife he leaves two daughters, Mrs. Knope of Two Rivers and Mrs.
Austin DeLorme of Negaunee, Mich.; three sons, Victor, Florian and Harold Pokorsky
of Two Rivers; a sister, Mrs. Mary D____ of Manitowoc; a brother, Michael Pokorsky
of Manitowoc and 16? grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Thursday where the Rosary will
be recited at 8 p.m. Friday.
