Josephine Turnbough Thomas passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2012, in Keller. Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday, Martin's Funeral Home Chapel, Granbury. Interment: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, in D/FW National Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials: The family requests donations be made to Foundation of Bellevue Ecuador Children's Home, 1212 104th Ave. S.E., Bellevue, Wash. 98004.
Mrs. Thomas was born to Franklin and Velma Turnbough on Jan. 2, 1927, in Quanah. On June 12, 1948, she married John E. Thomas and John left this earth on Jan. 1, 2011. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Maxine Hays. She attended Abilene Christian College, was a retired school teacher and lived in Odessa, Big Spring, Andrews, Granbury and Keller.
Survivors: Daughters, Karen Samuel and Tammy Thomas; granddaughter, Kristi Copeman and husband, Jason; grandson, B.J. Cauley; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
