Eugene Meneau, 75, of 226 14th street ,Two Rivers, died this morning following
a stroke, which he suffered a week ago.
He was born in Quebec, Canada, in 1869 and when a boy accompanied his parents
to Oconto. He located later at Marinette where, 49 years ago, he married Miss
Mary Marineau. The family moved to Two Rivers in 1915. He was employed at the
Aluminum Goods company, retiring four years ago.
Ten children were born to the couple and four of them preceded the father in
death. Survivors are the wife; one son, Arnold, Two Rivers; five daughters, Mrs.
Walter Morey, Two Rivers, Mrs. Edward Domnitz, Vancouver, Wash., Mrs. John Bacon
and Mrs. Fred Levenhagen, Manitowoc, and Mrs. Earl Tome, Two Rivers; a sister,
Mrs. Delia Laland, Peshtigo; a brother, Albert Meneau, near Minneapolis; 18
grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral plans are incomplete, but will probably be held at St. Marks church in
Two Rivers Tuesday. The body is at the Klein and Stangel funeral home.
