Eunice Marie Levenhagen went to her eternal rest Friday, June 9, 2000.
She had been residing at the Manitowoc Health Care Center, 4200
Calumet Avenue, Manitowoc.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. David
Hoffman at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc, Tuesday, June 13,
2000, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Eunice was born February 1, 1916, in Two Rivers. Her parents were the
late Eugene and Mary Meneau. She married Frederick Levenhagen on May
4, 1938, in Two Rivers. Mr. Levenhagen preceded her in death February
11, 2000. She was the dedicated mother of eight children, (private).
Eunice worked as a nursing assistant at Memorial Hospital, Holy Family
Hospital, and the Manitowoc Health Care Center. She then worked for
Home Health Care. She was an active member of The Society of St.
Vincent de Paul for 20 years and served as the president of the Sacred
Heart conference for five years. She also was a member of Sacred
Heart Catholic Church.
Eunice took great pride in her grandchildren, (private). Her great-
grandchildren, (private) brought her a special joy in her last year.
She loved her walks with her sister Ceil. She especially loved
walking in the gardens of her children.
Eunice is survived by six of her children and their spouses, (private)
; a son-in-law (private), her grandchildren and great-grandchildren,
her sister and brother-in-law, Cecilia and Earl Tome, a sister-in-law,
Meta Larsen; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She
was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two children, Judith
and Katherine; a grandson, Eric Baer; and eight brothers and sisters,
Goldie, Stanley, Arnold, Violet,Gladys, Beatrice, and two infant brothers.
Friends may call at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Tuesday, 10 a.m.
until the time of Mass at 11 a.m. The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home
assisted the Levenhagen family with funeral arrangements.
