Bo was born April 6, 1951 to the late John and Vera Cornett in Groom, Texas. He moved to Lubbock from Pampa in 1962. Bo graduated from Monterey High School in 1969. He attended South Plains College and Texas Tech University. Bo married the love of his life, Sherri Sonnamaker on January 7, 1984 in Lubbock. Bo worked for Eagle Picher Industries for 36 years. His hobbies included softball, fishing, hunting and golfing. His new found hobby was visiting his three precious granddaughters, where he was known as Poppa. Along with his parents, Bo was preceded in death by a sister, Jacqueline Kay Cornett.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Sherri; a daughter, Tiffany Weddel and husband Jason of Lantana; three granddaughters, Campbell, Henley and Charlie Weddel of Lantana; a sister, Johnnye Sue Herald of Lubbock; a niece, Brenda Rowan of Olton; a nephew, Mike Herald and wife Felicia of Lubbock; a great-niece, Ashlee Jackson of Canyon; two great-nephews, Zachary Rowan of Springlake and Alek Biero of Lubbock; and Bo's faithful Boxer companion, Missy. Memorials are suggested to Accolade Hospice or a charity of your choice.
