Barbara E. Cessna, 84, Punxsutawney, passed away Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012, at Jefferson Manor, Brookville.
She was born May 13, 1928, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Frank C. and Melvena (Smith) Heckman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David J. Cessna, in 2010.
Barbara was the Sunday School teacher and played piano at First Assembly of God Church for many years.
She served her life faithfully for the Lord.
Surviving relatives include two sons, Leonard J. Cessna and wife Connie, and William F. Cessna, all of Punxsutawney; a daughter, Carol L. Smith and husband Barry of Pittsburgh; three grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Heckman.
Friends will be received from 3 to 8 p.m. today at McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, at the funeral home with Pastor Chris Goliembowski officiating.
Interment will follow at Union Cemetery, Rossiter.
