Roland F. Boll, 62, of 17, Mill St., Chilton, died Monday at Calumet Memorial Hospital in Chilton.
He had been hospitalized while participating in a simulated tornado exercise at Chilton Elementary School. A volunteer fireman, Boll had been operating a Chilton Fire Department pumper at the time.

He was born Sept. 2, 1916, in the town of Charlestown, a son of Joseph and Jennie Camps Boll. On Oct. 26, 1937, he married Dorothy Reif at Chilton. Mr. Boll was employed at the Carnation Co., Chilton, for 16 years until 1953 and then at Horst Engineering at Chilton until 1960 when he became owner and operator of Boll’s Sales and Service at Chilton.

He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Chilton, the Chilton Lions Club, the Ledgeview, Rockea and Cedar Creek hunting Clubs, and served as member of the Chilton Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years.

Only immediate survivor is his wife. A sister and two brothers preceded him in death.

The funeral Mass will be Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church, the Rev. Paul Brick, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
