Hilda E. Bender
Mrs. Hilda E. Bender, 94, formerly of 224 S. Lincoln Drive, Howards Grove, a resident of Sunny Ridge for the past four years, died there on Monday, May 20, 1991.
The former Hilda E. Schreiber was born March 7, 1897, in the Town of Mosel, the daughter of the late William and Laura Erdman Schreiber. She attended Mosel District No. 3 Elementary School.
On Sept. 8, 1917, she married Louis Bender of the Town of Meeme at Grace Lutheran Church, Haven. He preceded her in death April 10, 1967. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church Howards Grove.
Hilda is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Nancy Bender, of Howards Grove; two daughters and son-in-law, Mrs. Janet Seifert, of Sheboygan; Adrian and Joyce Zill, of Howards Grove; seven grandchildren and seven great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, at 11 a.m., at Ballhorn Chapels. The Rev. Darrell Bergin, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, Howards Grove, will officiate. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery. Friends may call at Ballhorn Chapels on Thursday from 9 a.m. to the time of services.
