Mrs. Henry Schaetzer,72, of Cleveland, died Friday evening at her home following a lingering illness.
The former Olga Steffen, she was born in the Town of Herman, Feb 26, 1882, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Steffen.
On March 16, 1906 she was married to Mr. Schaetzer. Following marriage the couple settled on a farm in the Town of Mosel, remaining there until eight years ago when they retired and moved to Cleveland.
Surviving are her husband; two sons,William of Cleveland and Hubert of Sheboygan; three daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Florence) Klein of Sheboygan, Mrs. Arno (Eleanor) Huhn and Mrs. Elmer (Elsie) Klein of Cleveland; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Miss Ella Steffen of Johnsonville, Mrs. William Depping of Town of Sheboygan Falls and Mrs. Elmer Voechting of the Town of Sheboygan; and two brothers, Walter Steffen of Plymouth and Raymond of Johnsonville.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the St. John and Peter Lutheran Church, Cleveland, with the Rev. Eldon Boede, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the St. John Cemetery.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Monday at the Stoltenberg Funeral Chapel, Cleveland, and after 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church until the hour of services.
