Frank DeRossett, Sr., age 90 of Prestonsburg, KY, husband of Dordena S. Williams DeRossett, passed away Monday, August 6, 2012 at the Highlands Regional Medical Center, Prestonsburg, KY. Frank was born December 31, 1921 in Prestonsburg, KY, the son of the late John and Anna Calhoun DeRossett. He was a retired Circuit Court Clerk, member of the Retired Circuit Clerk Association and the Shriners, and attended the Tom Moore Freewill Baptist Church, Prestonsburg, KY.


In addition to his wife, Dordena, Frank is survived by one son, Frank DeRossett, Jr. of Auxier, KY, two step-daughters, Kim (Gary) Meade of Paintsville, KY and Ann (Chris) Frary of Alcoa, TN, three grandchildren, James Douglas (Kim) DeRossett, Stephanie (Steve) Cherry, and Kyle (Aleisha) Meade, one step-grandson, Wes Frary, and six great grandchildren, Mia DeRossett, Gigi DeRossett, Emily DeRossett, Demetrius Cherry, Kylie Meade, and Kameron Meade.


He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, Robert, Calvin, Oscar, Taylor, and Jimmy DeRossett, and three sisters, Lack Lafferty, Lula Lafferty, and Rebecca Skeans.


Funeral services for Frank DeRossett, Sr. will be held Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, KY with Clifford Austin and Jody Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in the Gethsemane Gardens, Prestonsburg, KY. Visitation will be held from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
