Mrs. Katherine E. Sheets (sic) Jones, 88, of 2741 N. Salisbury St., West Lafayette, died Oct 15 in Westminster Healthcare Center. A native and life resident of West Lafayette, she was married in 1913 at Lafayette to J. Frederick Sheets and he died in 1949. Her second marriage was in 1961 to John J. Jones, who died in 1975. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Stanley (Virginia Jane) Guyer of Rockford, Ill.; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Howard (Alta Virginia) Hayes of Attica, Mrs. William (Martha Catherine) Marvel of Carmel, and Mrs. Erma Ruth Walker of Berea, Ohio; two stepsons, John J. Jones of Plainfield and Abbott Jones of Kokomo; and a sister, Mrs. Ward (Geraldine)Horn of Paw Paw, Mich. Memorial service Oct. 18 at Federated Church, Rev. Dr. Gary L. Reif officiating.
