Nicholas Crawford, a life long resident of this place passed away Sunday, August 13, in his 60th year. He had been in failing health for a long time. He leaves to mourn his loss his widow, three sons, Leroy of Reidsville, Clifford and Clyde Crawford of Qnesquethaw, three daughters, Mrs Hiram McMlllen and Mrs. Luther McMillen of New Salem, Miss Mildred
Crawford of Reidsville; his aged parents, Mr and Mrs. Wilkins Crawford of Reidsville, six grandchildren. His funeral was held from his late place on Tuesday, August 15, at 2 pm and was largely attended by his many friends and neighbors. Rev R. S. Haack officiated and Undertaker J. C. Hannay of Clarksville had charge. Burial was in the family
plot in Westerlo cemetery.
