ECKHART--Aaron L. Snyder, Jr., 68, died Wednesday at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, where he had been admitted February 6. He had been in failing health for four years. Born here he was a son of the late Aaron L. and Laura (Porter) Snyder. He was a machine shop worker at Allegany Ballistics Laboratory, having retired in 1967. He was a member of Eckhart United Methodist Church, Mountain Lodge 99 AF & AM, Senior Citizens, and Clarysville Fire Company where he served as chaplain for 18 years. Surviving are his widow, Ruth (Himmelwright) Snyder; a son, Robert Snyder, Hagerstown; two sisters, Mrs. Henry Stark of here, and Mrs. Etta Thomas, Frostburg; and two grandchildren. The body is at the Durst Funeral Home where friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Members of Clarysville Fire Company will hold a memorial service today at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. Services will be conducted tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home by Rev. Donald Russell. Burial will be in Eckhart Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Franklin Cook, Frank Buskirk, Jr., Donald E. Pryor, Francis Fatkin, Ronald Nicol and Harold Carter.
